Green Leaf Fine Art Gallery & Studio was one of the most challenging and rewarding aspects of my career. It represented a return, not only to my fine art roots, but to the traditional themes and techniques that had first inspired me to become an artist.
This is a kind of online scrapbook of my experiences with Green Leaf. - Timothy Jones
OPENING NIGHT - August 6, 2004

The gallery space was housed in a building more than 100 years old. It took a full month of work to design, paint and decorate, including installing a picture-hanging system and special lighting.
Harpist Angela Lou
The opening featured a wine, cheese and fruit spread as well as live music by harpist Angela Lou. Her playing was truly beautiful and added so much to the event. The combination of art and music was one of the most pleasant evenings of my life. The place was packed for a couple of hours.
Timothy Jones (left) and Jeff Legg
That's me alongside artist Jeff Legg, with his work in the background. Jeff's art is stunning, and he is the closest thing to a mentor that I have had in my career. In spite of the demands of a highly successful career, he has been very generous, both with time and advice. Be sure to go to the LINKS page and check out his website, and the sites of all the Green Leaf artists.
Todd Williams & Tim
Todd is an incredible painter, and a terriffic guy as well. His work was featured in the gallery and he was also kind enough to hold a workshop there. He has been an inspiration to me and to many other artists. His work is shown and collected nationally.
John Lasater and Tim
John Lasater is an up-and-coming impressionist. He has studied at the famous Scottsdale school, where he won favorable notice from top artists like C.W. Mundy. The first piece I sold at the gallery was one of his landscapes, which was very gratifying... a little something in return for all his prayers of support and words of encouragement.
Christy Young (in hat) and students.
Somehow, with all that was happening, I managed to miss getting a picture with Christy Young on opening night. Christy is an accomplished portrait painter, with a special gift for capturing likeness and subtle expressions. Her work was also featured in the gallery. In addition, she taught children's art classes at Green Leaf and enthusiastically supported the whole enterprise in many ways, for which I will always be grateful.
